Thank you all so much for showing your support at our opening last Thursday it was a huge success, so much so that Nike have decided to do a film featuring the gallery as one of the “Coolest places in London”. We are offering you the opportunity to be extras in the film. Very limited places available and breakfast will be provided, drinks too. We will need you from 9am and filming should last about an hour and a half but be prepared as we might over run but not by much, expect to end at 11am.

Please call us at the gallery today before 8.30pm on 020 7247 5370 or facebook us if you wish to be in the film, please note you must look presentable, be on time and not wear any branded clothes unless of course they are Nike.

Thanks for everything, most warmest regards,

Jessica

testing Posterous.com – piccy from the #Compuware viral shoot

So I have this problem- I want to update my blog Techfluff.tv on a regular basis- maybe three or four times a day with content – but the problem is I just don’t have time what with running my other company, meetings, traveling, needing a little sleep, running round causing trouble etc..

So Zee from The Next Web suggested I try Posterous where you can auto post stuff onto wherever you want by just sending your account an email with the content or installing the Posterous browser button…

So, I’m sending this photo from the Compuware viral shoot I’ve been shooting in Amsterdam this weekend from my Facebook- lets see if it works.. one, two, three, post

European startup of the week- Freerunr.com-Putting WIFI Everywhere

This week we’ve got CEO of Freerunr Owne Geddes pitching in an elevator. Freerunr uses Open Source software to put Wifi hotspots all over the country.

They white label and install at big brand locations, but also help the community as their regional development funding allows them to put WiFi in places perhaps it has not been available before. Schools, community centers, small business and outside of city centers.

Freerunr.com says ‘Everybody needs access to the Internet and the digital divide should not stop them!’ I totally agree, but can they please hurry up, I want free WIFI for all, everywhere now!

My favourite startup of 09- Spotify founder Daniel Ek at the Glasshouse event.

If like me, you missed the Glasshouse event on Thursday with Spotify founder Daniel Ek , don’t worry!  We sent a Newspepper team to film it all and here it is for your viewing pleasure, all eight parts. Spotify is definitely one Europeean startup to keep an eye on – it’s taking the music industry by storm.

People keep asking me if I’m doing their PR, the answer is no I’m not, I just really think it’s  a great service in every respect and like to big up services/products I love to use – in fact it’s my favorite startup of 2009. You can read TechCrunch’s write up here:) and below is my ‘office’ in Ibiza whilst i’m on holiday- sun, sea, sand and tech, perfect let’s move the whole of the London tech scene here-yeah?

European startup of the week: The Nio- hooks up with phone to prevent loss of laptop etc.

So this week we’ve got Ben Hounsell of TenBu Technologies pitching their new gadget the Nio – a security tag which links with your mobile phone, Blackberry®, or PDA to create a line of defence against the loss or theft.

And a demo of how it works:

iPhone win win, bling bling: Developers: get your app reviewed, Users: get your apps free

Being an iPhone developer is like being the new P diddy; you can get rich quick and make a killing. But only if your app is at the top of the ratings on the app store. One of the ways to get your app is to get to the top is to have good reviews, but how can you get users to give your app a good review? You can’t, unless you hold a gun to their head, that is until now:

FuelMyApp.com provides a win win ecosystem for developers and users; Developers get honest reviews and users, who review apps, get them for free -yeay!

How it works:  developers submit their app’s reference to fuelmyapp.com and select how many reviews they want to pay for. iPhone users will be able to buy their app from fuelmyapp and keep it. Once the app has been reviewed, fuelmyapp.com credits the reviewer back the cost of the app instantly.

So how do fuelmyapp.com make money? They charge developers’ 2.99 per review-sounds quite a lot but for 1000 reviews it will cost you $3000 – not a lot to get to the top of the pile and potentially make your P diddy millions.

Plus if your an iPhone user, you are spending an average of $80 a month on iPhone apps, so get reviewing quick, get your apps for free and spend your extra $80 P.diddy syle on bling and bitches.
