Okay! People! So it’s launched -Apple’s new iPad (sounds like Tampax pad, but never mind). Our silicon valley reporter was live blogging from the launch on my Facebook wall so I grabbed the screen shots here- they came out really small, sorry but there’s some good info there.

I will be getting one dependent on it being not much more than my current iPhone plan as I already pay far too much. The iPad is priced lower than geeks were expecting, priced at $499.
I’m not happy it doesn’t have a video/stills camera and if you cant make calls through apps like Skype over 3G then it’s pointless carrying that around as well as having to carry an iPhone-boooooo!
Well it sounds more like a glorified e-reader than, as many predicted, an ‘iPhone on steriods’, but I still want one big time and with that price it’s (just about) afforadable depending on the plan deal and how much money I make this year.

I know I want one, but I also can’t help but think it will end up being one of those gadgets you pull out of a cupboard in 4 years, and wonder why you bought it. Much like the pile of Psion organsiers my dad still has.
But still….it’s soOOo shiny! Little disappointed that the picture frame around the edge isn’t thinner. Makes it look too think and dare I say bulky.
Even though I have a stupidly powerful PC, MacBook Pro, Vaio and iPhone, I will no doubt add this to the list of tech, if only to feel cool for a while
Yeah… i don’t know where it will fit- but i’ll have one!
