This week I caught up with Paul Carr at the launch of his new book The Upgrade: A Cautionary Tale of a Life Without Reservations. Under the guise of ‘travel’, the book is really about his life in the tech & entrepreneurial world and includes stories about how he ended up getting fired from The Guardian, The Telegraph and almost TechCrunch a few times plus his thoughts and insights of currently having no fixed address – at the moment Paul lives in a hotel room in New York.
At the book launch Paul read an excerpt from Chapter 900 (cunningly following hotel room numbers) and I managed to grab a quick word with him after he had finished signing autographed copies for his adoring fans! There is also talk that The Upgrade will be turned into a movie, but if you can’t wait for that, you can order a copy and read Chapter 100 (the first section) here.
