Tweet Camp 2011 took place on October 8th at The Learning Village in London. The video coverage above gives an overall idea of how the event was set up and the mindset behind Tweetcamp and Twitter. I got the chance to speak with the woman in charge, Abigail Harris, who was inspired at her first Tweetcamp visit and wanted to, ”do a little bit of the magic again.” The event brought together people from diverse backgrounds that all had one thing in common and that was their interest in Twitter and utilizing its capabilities.
The event focused on bringing together people that hold conversations and participate in online social media together face-to-face to accelerate these conversation in an innovative setting. They did a fantastic job of opening up an outlet for those that are interested in Twitter the subject as well as using Twitter in a professional sense.
From the looks of the video above you can see that participants were engaged in social networking, in depth conversations, and strengthening connections.
